iO Film “Makes It Happen” with MTI Film’s CORRECT

iO Film used CORRECT as an integral part of its digital intermediate post production process.

PROVIDENCE, RI—March 30, 2008— iO Film employed MTI Film’s CORRECT Digital Restoration Software to perform scratch and dust removal on Make It Happen in preparation for the film’s release by The Weinstein Company later this year. The film, directed by Darren Grant and starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Tessa Thompson, is about a small town woman seeking stardom as a dancer.

iO Film used CORRECT as an integral part of its digital intermediate post production process. DRS specialist Sheila MacMullan applied the software’s powerful and flexible toolset to eliminate scratches, dust and other artifacts and deliver a pristine master.

“There were stationed lens hairs throughout the film and I was able to repair them with CORRECT,” MacMullan said. “The alpha channel feature was particularly helpful. It enabled me to see very clearly how much dirt was in specific shots and gauge how long it would take to clean.”

iO Film has used CORRECT DRS on a number of recent feature film titles. Among them are Resident Evil: Extinction (Sony), The Mist (The Weinstein Company) and Fanboys (The Weinstein Company).
