Providence, RI - February 2, 2009 - MTI Film has appointed Belinda S. Merritt as Director of Worldwide Sales. Merritt, who previously headed the independent sales and management firm, Belinda Reps . . ., will direct the company’s sales effort both in the United States and abroad. She will provide sales support to current clients, as well as working to broaden MTI Film’s market reach and extend its international resellers network.

Merritt brings extensive experience in post production industry sales and marketing to MTI Film, having worked with both technology developers and post production facilities. "Belinda is a professional in the best sense of the word," said MTI Film CEO Larry Chernoff. "She has extensive contacts throughout the industry, understands the business intimately, and enjoys universal respect among her peers and clients. We are very pleased to welcome her back to MTI Film."

Merritt has a thorough familiarity with MTI Film and its product line, having previously represented the company as an independent rep. In moving into a staff position, Merritt said that she believes that the company is poised for a breakthrough. "MTI Film is developing several new enhancements to its product line that will create opportunities for us to address new markets, both domestically and internationally," she said. "I am particularly excited about the new Control Dailies system we will be offering for digitally-acquired media, something that the market clearly needs."

Merritt’s expertise spans virtually every aspect of post production technology including dailies processing, film grading, visual effects, compositing, film scanning and film recording. In addition to MTI Film, Merritt has held senior sales positions with Hollywood Digital, LA Studios/Margarita Mix, Pixel Magic, The Post Group and has provided sales support for such companies as Talon Data Systems and Light Source & Imagery.
