DRS User Group in the Holiday Spirit

The Correct DRS User Group is going strong! After very successful meetings this summer and fall, the DRS User group will gather on December 16 to celebrate the holiday season and learn how to get the most out of the Paint tool in Correct DRS™. The DRS User Group has become an invaluable resource for Los Angeles area restoration artists, offering an opportunity to expand and refine skill sets while networking with other restoration professionals. The User Group also provides a forum for candid and constructive feedback so that customers can help contribute to the ongoing development of our product. The group is open to artists/operators, their supervisors and the IT/engineering staff who support them.

Join Control Dailies for the Final REDucation Community Day of '09

MTI Film is pleased that Control Dailies DA (Digital Acquisition) will once again be a part of the REDucation program presented by Createasphere/HDExpo. REDucation presents 7 days of training in RED technology and RED-related Post-Production tools. The final REDucation Community Day for 2009 will be held on December 7 at LA Center Studios.

HD World: Demystifying Restoration

CEO Larry Chernoff will be moderating the "Demystifying the Restoration Process" session at HD World in New York City on October 14-15. A panel discussion on the process of restoring films for theatrical re-release or for the home theater. Panelists will not only cover the technical and business aspects of restoration, but will share stories of their most interesting and challenging projects.

MTI Film has announced that starting with version 8, all Correct DRS™ User Documentation will be available in electronic format only. By ceasing to print and bind User Manuals, MTI Film is taking steps to reduce its ecological footprint and waste. Users will still find the PDF version of the Manual installed along with the software.

Los Angeles area DRS artists, operators, managers and facility engineers recently attended the Inaugural DRS User Group event – an Open House held at the MTI Film offices in Hollywood. During the afternoon event, attendees had the opportunity to view an expert demo of Correct DRS version 8 and then test drive the software with informal training by MTI staff.
