MTI Film's Restoration Projects

MTI Film provides high-quality digital film restoration services to studios and libraries who need pristine quality work delivered on time and in budget.  Our team of experienced restoration artists use Correct DRS™ to remove all types of defects - ranging from warping, mold and 3-layer misalignment to dust, dirt and scratches.  In addition, we provide expert color correction when the project calls for it.

MTI Film has restored a number of high-profile titles for studios and libraries, including Easy Rider, The Bridge on the River Kwai, In Like Flint, Mysterious Island, The Guns of Navarone, The Burglar, Flight of the Phoenix, The Lodger, The Dolly Sisters, All the Kings Men, More Than a Secretary, The Three Stooges catalogue, 12 O'Clock High, Bell Book and Candle, and All The Kings Men.

Highlights

Taxi Driver was a 4k restoration project for Sony Pictures Entertainment and was re-released in February of 2011.  MTI Film repaired numerous scratches, dust and debris, as well as sections of torn negative in this acclaimed classic.  Debra Kaufman gives us an in-depth look at the challenges and the process for Creative Cow.

 

 

 

The Bridge on the River Kwai was a 4k restoration project for Sony Pictures Entertainment for re-release in November of 2010.  Bridge presented numerous technical challenges, with warps at nearly every scene cut, and numerous scratches and tears throughout.  Bridge was the first film to use MTI's anamorphic unsqueeze display technology to ensure every pixel was meticulously restored.
